Remember – 25 Positive Words, Day 18.

18 remember

Remember the joyful and childlike beauty of the season.

Remember, everyone has a story. Sometimes we need to be patient and understanding rather than critical and demanding.

Remember, everyone needs to be reminded of God’s love, and you may be the vessel God wants to use to encourage someone’s heart.

Remember to step back and look at the bigger picture. Circumstances can seem so big and overwhelming, but when you step back and look at it in light of eternity it can change your perspective.

Remember God loves you so much that He sent His Son to this earth to offer His life for your sins.

Remember God’s goodness and celebrate Jesus each day.

Read – 25 Positive Words, Day 17

17 read

Like it or not, reading can be a positive word in your life. Reading allows us to learn, grow and reflect on great truths, new concepts or simply delightful tales of intrigue. What exercise is to the body, reading is to the mind. Let us be wise in what we choose to read – not all reading elevates the heart and mind. Most important, read God’s living and powerful word, the Bible, everyday. Within its pages you will find hope, strength, encouragement, wisdom and love.

Charlie Tremendous Jones often said, “You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.”

Reflect – 25 Positive Words, Day 15

15 Reflect

As the Christmas season moves forward at a rapid pace, let’s be intentional about taking some time of reflection with our family and friends. Reflect on favorite and happy Christmas memories. Reflect of some of the hilarious gifts you have given or received over the years. Reflect on your favorite Christmas movies or recipes. Reflect on God’s blessings from the past year. Reflect on His faithfulness. One thing to stop reflecting on is past hurts and mistakes. Choose to reflect on what is good, and choose to forget the frustrations.

Joy – 25 Positive Words, Day 14

25 words day 14

Joyfulness is a deep sense of delight mixed with an unexplainable peace within our hearts. It transcends circumstances and is a fruit of God’s Spirit. The apostle Paul told early believers to “Rejoice in the Lord always.” We may not be able to rejoice in every circumstance, but we can always find joy in God’s goodness and mercy. May the joy of the Lord be your strength this Season, as you rejoice in the celebration of Jesus, Immanuel, God with us.

Walk – 25 Positive Words, Day 13

25 words day 13

In grade school, our teachers told us to “Walk, don’t run” when we were in the hallways. As a child, we wanted to run – we wanted to get there fast! In many ways, like a child, we want things to happen fast and on our time table. Walking takes patience, and takes time. As believers in Christ, we never walk alone. God has given us His spirit. There’s nothing more beautiful than walking with God, holding His hand and patiently waiting on His timing.

Psalm 37:23-24 reminds us, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will not fall for He holds them by the hand.”
